If you are here, I know you have been through an incredibly painful and isolating journey. Unfortunately, many gender therapists have dismissed your experience or marginalized you as a rare statistic. Professionals have swept your story under the rug or brushed you off as a “transition gone wrong”. Worse yet, you may feel that you never got the chance to deeply explore gender, sexuality, and internalized misogyny with your therapist when you were first considering transition. Maybe you have been through traumatic experiences that contributed to your dysphoria and clinicians didn’t take the time to help you work through your pain.
I see you, I am a witness to your experience, and I will not ignore you. I’ve met many more women (and some men) who are going through detransition, and I am here to listen, support, and connect. I help people to move through their detransition one day at a time, using a compassionate and client-centered approach. Together we may focus on mindfulness techniques, somatic exercises, and CBT approaches to help you heal both your body and mind. We can also help you figure out the safest and most sustainable ways to navigate changes in your social, family, and professional life.
I conduct therapy sessions online anywhere in Texas, Australia, the UK, parts of Canada, and abroad. I also see clients in person in my Houston office.
